Sheldon The Tortoise
I’m Sheldon, Winton House’s resident Hermann’s tortoise, because I’m originally from the Mediterranean I love being cosy and warm. By nature, I’m clean, passive and gentle, so when my tiny humans stroke my bumpy hard shell or rough dry skin I don’t mind.

At Winton House Day Nursery, we feel it is best for you to come visit us, so you get to feel our warm, friendly, beautiful homely environment we have ready for your child, for yourself.
To relax I enjoy spending time on my heat matt, sitting under my heat lamp or having a nice warm bath, sometimes I’m so relaxed that I poop, my tiny humans find this extremely funny.
I mostly eat leafy greens but as a real special treat I get to have my favourite, cucumber.
I’m 7 at the moment but I can live up to 75, which could mean that I could meet my tiny humans children or even grandchildren! That won’t be for a while though.
I love meeting new friends and when its warm enough taking a turn around the garden.
